A few days ago Gordon helped us move the first 40 ft container on our plot.
These will be used for the dorms!
Going tentatively up the hill under Gordon's close supervision.
Quite a site having a container glide through the countryside!
I think driving round a bend was quite a challenge!!
Checking and keeping a close eye as they went along...
Until they finally made it after 3 hours and a total of 7km approximately.
Manoeuvring it so that it will lie in the right place.
Jacking it up.
After the 40 ft, they then proceeded to move one of the 20ft that will be used for Hannah and Anita's house. This is the container the girls slept in for a few weeks before moving into the house.
This one didn't have an axle but was just dragged on the ground!
You can see the "ginger bread" house (as we call it) in the background!
A bit of man power!!
They used pipes to make them roll so that they were right over the concrete pads.
Moving the second one in place.
Perfectly positioned! For now the right one will be where Ben and Mark sleep and the left one will be Mel and Ross's!
This is the axle that Gordon made just to move our 40ft containers! Quite amazing!!
Loading it back in the trailer.
Heading back to Nyangombe after a very successful day!
We have such wonderful neighbours who help us in any way they can! Thank you Gordon:-)
