Foundations and moving of 1st container on site!

None of the photos below are in order unfortunately! I've spent several weeks trying to upload them, so I'm not going to make a fuss over it;-) Hope you enjoy!
This is the chota being built. It's actually the first thing that was done on the new site!
Being thatched. This will be used for cooking, gatherings, meetings and many other things.

Anita and Hannah clearing a patch for the future garden, right next to the chota.
The very first container being moved!

It was very tedious and they had to go slowly along the road, but they made it!
The guys working on the concrete pads where the container will be dropped.

Maneuvering the container so that it can be put down on its foundation.

It was quite technical.

Using jacks to lower it down.

Vikki, one of the teens came to help us. Here she is planting mango trees in the new garden!

Anita and Hannah paddling in a newly discovered little creek where the water is absolutely crystal clear!

Having our nshima together.

These were the wooden molds used to pour the concrete in.

The foundations being laid! How exciting!

The land!
To date there are now 4 containers that have been moved, the chota is finished and the garden is taking shape. We have also begun work in the field to clear it so that we can plant corn.
