Planting fruit trees

On the 12th of January, Jim arrived from Canada to help us with the work here. He will be staying 3 months. While they were in town to pick him up, they bought a few fruit trees.

They also bought Flamboyants and Jacarandas, that Anita was lovingly planting!

Ben, Jim and Ross measuring out the space needed between each tree.

Putting the stakes in the ground.
Jim pruning one of our mango trees.

We all had a lot of fun and it was exciting to think that pretty soon we will have a proper orchard with guavas, paw-paws (papayas), apples, oranges, lemons, tangerines, mangos and bananas!

  1. Thank you so very much for your blog. The pictures are wonderful, showing us the reality of building from the ground up. Blessings on you all. From Canada Lyn
